March 12th, 2012 - Starting the Mercury 90

No pictures today but I had real progress on the motor. I was able to get it started and running for the first time since I've owned it. I didn't run it long as the water pump needs replacing. At least I have the parts.

March 8th, 2012 - Body Filler

I added body filler to the cracks and gouges in the hull. The top of the boat took a beating over over the years but it is coming back in to shape. My pictures just show that back of the hull but there are many area that I added body filler, mostly just small cracks and nicks, but there were quite a few.

March 8th, 2012 - Sanding the Top and Cabin

Today I worked on the top of the hull, getting it ready for paint. There were numerous places with chips and cracks. I tried to sand off as much of the old faded top coat and level out the scratches After that, I added body filler to the cracks and gouges. I will sand that off when it dries.
